Country wedding at The Blue Hole

“Thank you very much for making our wedding day so special. The venue setting and scenery is beautiful and suited our country wedding, also the way the venue was decorated took our breath away when we walked in. The day went off without a hitch. The catering company recommended by yourselves was brilliant, Cheryl and Naartjie made wonderful food. The evening was run very well. The bar service was great, which lead to a great evening being had by all. Thanks again to everyone that made our day so special.” – Nasurette

Taryn & Alastair

24 March 2014

“I had the wedding of my dreams at The Blue Hole. Will never forget it” – Taryn

A country chic wedding with charming touches, including brooches of absent grandparents on the bouquet and the couple’s baby pictures as the men’s and ladies’ toilet signs. This organised and hands-on couple put so much love and care into ensuring their friends and family enjoyed their day.

The day started with Taryn & Alastair tying the knot in the quaint little Salem Methodist church where her parents got married some 37 years ago. It was one of the hottest days of the year in the Salem countryside, but this didn’t deter the happy couple. Love and laughter rang throughout the church and carried to the reception where their guests joined in the fun and celebrated the union of this special couple.

This first country wedding to be hosted at The Blue Hole was a memorable occasion from beginning to end. It was absolutely wonderful to work with a couple who took such pleasure in planning and creating their dream wedding.
